Overview

The short version

We use a small set of cookies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand aggregate usage. We don’t use advertising cookies, and you can control or clear cookies anytime through your browser.

This Cookie Policy describes how Set The World On Fire LLC ("STWOF", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

By continuing to use the site, you agree to our use of cookies as described here. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will only set them after you have given it.

02

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — and refer to them collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

Cookies may be set by us (first-party) or by the third-party services we embed (third-party), and they may last only for your session or persist for a set period.

03

Types of cookies we use

We group the cookies on this site into the categories below. Essential cookies are always active because the site can’t function without them; the rest are limited and privacy-respecting.

CategoryPurposeDuration
EssentialCore site functionality, security, and load balancingSession – 12 months
PreferencesRemember choices such as theme or dismissed noticesUp to 12 months
AnalyticsAggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of page viewsUp to 24 months
Embedded servicesScheduling, forms, and chat we embed may set their own cookiesSet by the provider
04

Analytics

We use a privacy-respecting analytics setup to understand which content is useful and where the site can improve. We look at aggregate trends — pages viewed, referrers, approximate location, and device or browser type — not the behaviour of identifiable individuals.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not sell or share analytics data for advertising.

05

Third-party & embedded services

Some pages embed services we use to run the business — for example, a scheduling widget, a contact form, or a chat tool. When you interact with these, the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we don’t control.

  • Scheduling & CRM: booking and contact tools may set cookies to operate their widgets.
  • Hosting & delivery: our infrastructure may set essential cookies for security and routing.

Where these are non-essential, we load them only as needed, and you can block them with the browser controls below.

06

Managing cookies

You’re in control of cookies. Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings, and you can set them to warn you before a cookie is stored.

  • Block or delete: use your browser’s privacy settings to remove existing cookies or refuse new ones.
  • Per-site control: most browsers let you allow or block cookies for specific sites.
  • Effect of blocking: essential cookies can’t be switched off without breaking parts of the site; blocking others is fine.

For guidance, see the help pages for your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge).

07

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-standard way to respond to it, so our site does not currently change its behaviour based on DNT. Because we don’t use advertising cookies, there is no cross-site tracking to opt out of.

08

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we’ll publish the revised policy on this page and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
