Overview

The short version

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver the work. We don't sell your data. We use a small set of trusted tools to run the business, and you can contact us anytime to access or delete your information.

Set The World On Fire LLC ("STWOF", "we", "us") is an operator-led studio building platform systems, marketing automation, and SEO infrastructure for local service businesses and ecommerce brands. This policy describes how we handle personal information across our website, proposals, and the systems we run on a client's behalf.

By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site and let us know.

02

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you provide directly, what is gathered automatically as you use the site, and what we receive from the tools we use to operate.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information, and we ask that you not send them to us unless required for a specific, agreed purpose.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate, deliver, and improve our services. Specifically:

  • Respond to you: answer enquiries, schedule calls, and send proposals.
  • Deliver the work: build, configure, and run the systems we're engaged to manage.
  • Operate the business: invoicing, record-keeping, and support.
  • Improve the site: understand which content is useful and fix what isn't.
  • Meet legal obligations: comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.

We rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business as the bases for these uses.

04

Cookies & tracking

Our site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies to function and to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.

Types we use

  • Essential: required for the site to load and for security.
  • Analytics: privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement of page views.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our full Cookie Policy is at stwof.com/cookies.

05

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the business, and never sell it. Recipients fall into a few categories:

  • Service providers: hosting, email, scheduling, and analytics tools that process data on our instructions.
  • Professional advisors: legal and accounting, where required.
  • Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Mobile messaging & SMS

The short version

If you give us your mobile number, we only send the message categories you ticked. We never share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Reply STOP to any message to stop it.

Set The World On Fire sends both customer care and promotional text messages to people who ask to receive them. Every one of our opt-in surfaces — and the messaging behind them — is provided and maintained by LeadConnector, our messaging platform provider.

Where you can opt in

  • The chat widget on any page of this site.
  • The contact form at stwof.com/contact.
  • The appointment booking form, where a mobile number is used to coordinate the call you booked.

On the chat widget and the contact form you give us your mobile number voluntarily, then independently select one or both consent checkboxes — one to receive customer care messages related to your enquiry, and one to receive promotional messages. Each checkbox is a separate and distinct consent, and neither is pre-selected. We only ever text a number where consent was given, and we never treat consent given on one surface as consent for a category you did not tick.

Consenting to text messages is never a condition of doing business with us. You can always reach us without agreeing to receive them, by calling 661-438-0006 or using the email address published at stwof.com/contact.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we use your mobile number

  • Send only the message categories you consented to.
  • Keep promotional consent and customer care consent separate — we do not combine them.
  • Honour opt-outs immediately and keep a record that you opted out.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to stop messages from that program. Reply HELP for help, or reach us using the details at the end of this policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The full messaging terms — program descriptions, frequency, and how to rejoin after opting out — are in our Terms of Service at stwof.com/terms.

07

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to satisfy legal and accounting requirements, or to resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

08

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.

  • Access & portability: request a copy of the information we hold.
  • Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: ask us to remove your information, subject to legal limits.
  • Opt-out: unsubscribe from any non-essential email at any time, and reply STOP to any text message to stop it.
09

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and reputable, secured service providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and the tools we use may process information in other countries. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for cross-border transfers.

11

Children's privacy

Our site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we'll publish the revised policy on this page and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
